Privacy

Short version: no cookies, no trackers, no ads, no accounts.

Who

This is the personal site of David Coimbra, a software engineer in Lisbon, Portugal. I'm responsible for it. For anything about your data, write to support@davidcoimbra.dev.

What's collected

The site is static and served by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse. I don't get a list of visitors from that.

Visits may be counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which works without cookies and without fingerprinting and only gives me aggregate numbers, like page views and countries.

Your browser

The site sets no cookies. It saves one thing in your browser's local storage: whether you picked the light or dark theme, so it remembers next time. It never leaves your device, and clearing your site data removes it.

Elsewhere

Links to GitHub, LinkedIn and Instagram take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies. If you email me, I keep the conversation only as long as it's useful and never share it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what I hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. Email me and I'll answer. You can also complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, the CNPD.
