Hi, I'm David.

Software engineer from Lisbon. I build fast, well-architected web products, and write down what I learn.

Story

I started with web and multimedia in Leiria, took a Computer Engineering degree, and spent the in-between years freelancing: taking client projects from the first meeting to production.

That taught me the part of the job nobody puts in a tutorial: turning vague needs into software that ships, and keeping clients happy while doing it. Then I moved into product teams — first on critical internal tools for WebMD Ignite, where I spent most of my time making slow endpoints fast and reshaping architectures, and now at Car & Classic.

I care about systems that are boring in production: fast, observable, easy to change. Off the keyboard it's chess, martial arts, and a soft spot for rom-coms and a good drama.
